Jec World 2025: make the most of composites with Cetim!

04/02/2025
JEC WORLD 2025

Meet with Cetim experts at JEC World 2025, Hall 6, booth D107.
4/6 March 2025, Paris Nord Villepinte.

With its slogan “Make the Most of Composites”, Cetim is highlighting its expertise across the entire value chain of composite materials, and its commitment to innovation to enhance the performance of numerous industrial sectors.

On the Agenda this year:

  • Exhibition of new R&D demonstrators,
  • Presentation of cutting-edge equipment,
  • Update on national and European projects in which the Center is involved,
  • The presence of its multi-disciplinary experts throughout the show, including those from ETIM, its Composites testing laboratory.

A high-competition Paralympic training bike

Cetim will be exhibiting one of Florian Jouanny’s Paralympic training bikes on its booth. Discover how our experts make the most of composite materials right from the design phase, helping to optimize athletes’ performances by meeting the challenges of weight reduction, ergonomics and robustness.

An innovative Airbus part

On its booth, Cetim will be unveiling a brand-new part produced for Airbus. Manufactured in advanced composites, this demonstrator is the result of close collaboration with the aerospace industry to meet the challenges of lightness, strength and durability. Composite materials play a crucial role in optimizing the performance of aircraft, helping to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Result of Cetim’s R&D work, this part is further proof of the Centre’s commitment to working alongside manufacturers to support the transformation of the industry and achieve the goal of “zero net carbon emissions” by 2050.

A technical access hatch made from recycled composites in a closed-loop

The innovation of the TERRA PRETA project, a collaboration between Cetim, SOGECLAIR, Airbus and Safran Seats, lies in Cetim’s awared Thermosaïc® recycling process, which recovers waste from the production of aircraft fuel tank access hatches made from carbon-PPS composites for the manufacture of technical access hatches which require lower mechanical constraints. Cetim’s recycling process thus offers an economical alternative to virgin materials, with a significant reduction in carbon footprint, thanks to the reuse of +70% of waste in a closed-loop.

A high-pressure thermoplastic composite hydrogen storage tank from Cetim R&D

A 63L tank for clean mobility applications, capable of storing 2.6kg of hydrogen, manufactured with Cetim’s HySPIDE TP. This tank is designed using Cetim’s optimized design and calculation methods, which combine material specificities with process advantages, notably limiting over-layers at the dome level by reducing excess material thickness and lowering the tank’s overall mass.

An awarded Krueger Flap

Cetim will also display the Krueger Flap made from TP composites, manufactured with Cetim’s SPIDE TP® process, and awarded at the JEC Composites Innovations Awards 2023 in the “Aerospace/Process” category.

Cetim and composites

From design and implementation to recycling and training, Cetim’s multi-disciplinary experts have been supporting manufacturers for over 40 years in deploying composites and improving the performance of their products. Cetim’s 120 dedicated experts cover the entire composites value chain, providing comprehensive support for all issues, whatever their level of maturity.
